Datecs GIS Center offers the latest demographic data
Datecs GIS Center now offers its customers the most recent demographic data for the 24 largest cities in Bulgaria. Data are from the elections of May 12, 2013 and include: Sofia, Plovdiv, Varna, Burgas, Veliko Tarnovo, Stara Zagora, Pleven, Ruse, Dobrich, Pazardzhik, Shumen, Sliven, Yambol, Dupnitza, Gabrovo, Kardzhali, Kazanlak, Kyustendil , Lovech, Montana, Razgrad, Silistra, Targovishte and Smolyan.

The first implemented project in accordance to the INSPIRE directive in Bulgaria
Consortium Inspire Bulgaria - including David Holding and Datecs Ltd., represented by the specialized department for Geographic Information Systems - GIS Center – completed successfully in August the project „"Improving services for citizens and businesses in the Ministry of Transport, Information Technology and Communications through the development of e-governance in spatial data and services"”. The project is accomplished with the financial support of Operational Programme "Administrative Capacity", co-financed by the European Union through the European Social Fund.
Two applications have been developed within the project:
- GIS software application for validation of metadata for the spatial data in public administration
- GIS software application for planning and monitoring the presence and conformity of network services, metadata and spatial datasets
Three network services in the field of railway transportation, associated with the spatial datasets of the National Railway Infrastructure Company (NRIC), have also been developed and integrated.

14th Conference on E-Governance
For the third consecutive time Datecs GIS Center was an official partner of the 14th National Conference on e-Governance which took place on 7-8 March 2013 in Sofia under the motto "e-Governance in service of the citizens."
At the conference, the Commercial Director of Datecs GIS Center, Borislav Ivanov, presented how the initiative BGmaps.com-My City and the free BGmaps for Android app can be in service of the citizens and the administration, in order to improve the communication between them and shorten the time of solving the pressing problems.

On March, 6, 2013, a contract was signed between the Ministry of Transport, Information Technologies and Messages and the consortium "Inspire Bulgaria" which includes Datecs Ltd. and David Holding. The consortium is to develop geographically referenced applications, for improving the citizen services and the business at the Ministry, in the field of spatial data and services. The project is funded by the Operational Program "Administrative Capacity" and will be completed in September 2013.
